A road bicycle is a synonym for the term racing bicycle.In general road bicycles have drop handlebars and multiple gears, although there are single and fixed gear varieties.It is also used less formally for any bicycle designed for use primarily on paved roads, as opposed to off-road terrain.There are four types of road bicycle :

Hybrid bicycle .
Hybrid bicycle is one of road bicycle type, they are designed for a variety of leisure and utility purposes. The hybrid bicycle combines features of a road bicycle in addition to a mountain bicycle. The hybrid bicycle retains most of the skin texture of mountain bicycles, but is not a mountain bicycle. Most hybrid bicycles are based on an adapted mountain frame.
